Review: The Guilty Mother

The Guilty Mother The Guilty Mother by Diane Jeffrey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I picked up this book on recommendation from Goodreads, and boy, what a ride it turned out to be!

For the past five years, Melissa Moore has been a guest of the state.

Her crime? - She allegedly murdered her young daughter.

But now there is the possibility of an appeal, a cause that her ex-husband has passionately taken on.

Jonathan, a widower and reporter, finds himself assigned against his will to the story, a development he is not happy about. He believes Melissa to be guilty, and does not want to become involved in fighting for her innocence.

But when new evidence comes to light, Jon finds himself on a quest for the truth.

I loved how seemingly unrelated events came together at the end to stitch a tale that was mesmerizing and captivating, and for that I give this book 5 stars. I'll definitely be reading more by this author!
